Publicity, good or bad is still publicity. I learned this from my mentor, a fellow wedding planner who has since retired to go off to live in some seaside house that she spent a lifetime planning. She generously offered me her business, lock, stock and barrel. It included her wedding planning shop that provides not only wedding material samples and ideas but precious information. Everything was in place. She has accumulated thousands of lists that included wedding related contacts like caterers, couturiers and others. I was overwhelmed. I was asked by some client to create an art website and honestly, as a web developer myself, this was a challenging and daunting task as I was not quite as adept in the arts and the problem was that in developing websites, I first need to feel and know what I am doing for the client so I can make a better judgment of things to place inside the site or make the site as real and imaginable as possible. Art is actually something underrated as there is just a few number of people who can really appreciate it and I guess even I myself have a hard time finding friends and people who can share the same sentiment as I do hereby limiting the number of people who I can say are artist in their own right. With this in mind, I resolved to create an art website for my distinct interest in this thing and I saw this will be a great avenue, especially with the prominence of the internet, that I might be able to find people who share the same ideas and treatment of art as I do. Growing up with both parents as artists gave me a bit of advantage to be exposed to the arts as young as I was back then. I learned to paint, read classic literature and stuff as young as 4 years old as this was how my parents taught me back then and I am thankful to them for exposing me early on as now I know how to appreciate beauty in those things. When I went to college and took up arts and literature as a major, It was by this time that the internet was starting to boom into what it is today, a form of communication and database for the whole world. My friends from college and I decided that we wanted to pursue the arts more and would make constant communications through the web and finally, we ourselves decided to create an art website for our group so we can also share our passion for the arts to anyone interested in the internet.
